SriLankan Airlines is the largest airline in Sri Lanka launched in 1979. SriLankan Airline with a fleet size of 27 operates to 114 destinations in over 45 countries. The 71-year-old airlines joined the Oneworld alliance in 2014.
Alliance
Oneworld founded in February 1999 is the third largest alliance in terms of passengers. Oneworld has 13 full members who collectively carry over 527.9 million passengers per year. Serendib Miles, the frequent flyer program allows members to access OneWorld network member airlines. Passengers can access privileges based on the status of the member airline's frequent flyer program. Oneworld has three premium status levels which are Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald.

Class of Travel
SriLankan Airlines provides two classes of travel:
Business Class - SriLankan offers a flatbed seat which can be reclined along with on-demand Audio-Visual facilities. The In-flight entertainment features include the Thales Avant IFE.
Economy Class - The wide seats in the economy class allows passengers to have a hassle and stress-free journey.
Baggage Allowance
Economy class passengers are allowed 7kg free baggage allowance for hand luggage and 30kgs for checked-in luggage.
Business class passengers are allowed 7kg free baggage allowance for hand luggage and 40kgs for checked-in luggage.
Frequent Flyer Programme
FlySmiles is the current SriLankan Frequent Flyer Programme which has a reward program with all its partners. FlySmiles partners include Oneworld airlines, Cinnamon Air and Etihad Airways and non-airline partners like Abans and Spa Ceylon. The four-tiers membership allows members to avail benefits throughout Oneworld alliance members. Serendib Miles was SriLankan's first frequent flyer programme which has partnered with Emirates' frequent flyer programme, Skywards. The partnership and the programme ceased when the two airlines concluded in 2008.
In-flight Services
SriLankan Airways boasts the flight's progress with 'Air Show' which indicates a moving map of the flight's progress. It also displays the pilot's eye view from take-off and landing. Guests can pre-book meals which can be made according to the dietary restrictions of the guests.
Check-in
Domestic Flights - Passengers can check-in online 48 hrs to 2 hrs prior to the scheduled departure time.
International Flights - Passengers can check-in online 48 hrs to 2 hrs prior to the scheduled departure time.
Onboard Support
SriLankan Airways provides assistance for passengers with special needs. Wheelchairs, airport assistance during check in are provided by on ground staff. Passengers can choose a service that best suits their need. Expectant mothers and parents of unaccompanied children can read the regulations and policies before flying on SriLankan Airways' website.
Refund & Cancellation
Passengers can cancel their booking either through SriLankan Airways sales’ offices or website. All cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee.
